Bang, Bang!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine’s Day weekend.  I’ve never been big on this “holiday”.  Just seemed like something someone made up to make Hallmark some money.  However, I don’t begrudge anyone that get’s into it.  Hopefully, you don’t need February 14th to tell the people you love how much you love them.

Valentine’s Day seemed as good a day as any to make a trip to the gun range.  It’s something we had talked about doing for some time and just never got around to it.  Apparently, I wasn’t the only person who thought to take their spouse to the gun range.  Caliber’s Indoor Gun Range was standing room only.  Men and women alike, which put me at ease.  I was slightly concerned that I might be the only clueless woman there.  That was certainly not the case.  Although, I must admit it appeared that most of the other women there, had been there before. After watching a brief video we were ready to rock and roll.

I wish I could tell you that I rocked, but that would be a huge untruth.  I wasn’t bad, all things considered, however, my aim left plenty to be desired.  The kickback from the gun was shocking at first, but I think I got the hand of it.  I will definitely be back and hopefully I can take a class or two.

My look was pretty casual.  I finally got the Michael Kors booties that I had been crushing on since what seems like the beginning of time.  Gotta love a good Dillards sale!  The sweater was a Banana Republic want that I waited for a 50% coupon to scoop up.  I love a good deal!

P.S. I felt a little weird whipping out my camera in the gun range so all photos were taking with our phones.

Until next time!

One thing you will find to be true about me is that I have a serious weakness for shoes.  Specifically high heels.  That doesn’t mean I don’t have my fair share of footwear that is not a high heels, however, there is just something about the way I feel when rockin’ a sexy pair of heels.

If you follow along with me on Instagram (@bighairtricia), you will find that I am a regular participant in #shoesdaytuesday.  Recently, after posting my first pair of GX Collections heels, I was challenged by them to provide my #OOTD while rocking’ these super hot heels.

So, here is my #OOTD.  I love a good pair of boyfriend jeans and GAP has my favorite pair.  I think I have them in every color!  I’m not a big lipstick wearer, however, you can’t rock a pair of GX Collection by Gwen Stefani and not pay homage to her with a classic red lip!

Until Next Time!

I Am Not My Hair

Welcome!

I am Tricia Young and thanks to my little cousin Zion I will always and forever be “Big Hair Tricia.”  I haven’t always embraced my big red hair, but after trying just about every method of nip, tuck, pull and cut to try control this maine I have finally come to embrace the uniqueness that is my very large and natural red hair.

However, this adventure in blogging is not about my big hair.  It’s not about one thing at all really.  Because how can it be about one thing, when I”m not one thing.  I’m a mother, a wife, a sister, a cousin, a friend, a shoe lover, an art seeker, a shopping addict, and a lover of the written word.  I could go on and one, but my hope is that you will come back and visit my blog and learn all the things that make me Big Hair Tricia.  That you will encourage rather than judge, and you will be inspiration and find inspiration on this journey.

In the meantime, please find a few pictures of my hair evolution for your viewing pleasure.

Until next time!
